Matis Hammock from the Amazon

Individually hand crafted and hand braided hammock from the Matis (pronounce "Matt-tease") people of the Amazon Rain Forest. Everything is green sourced from the Amazon jungle. It takes approximately two months of full-time work and about 600 yards of handmade natural cordage to fabricate one hammock. All materials are carefully sourced from the rainforest (renewable sources). This one has a pink center stripe. The pink dye is made from a tree the Matis simply call "Palo de Brazil" (tree of Brazil). The hammock thread and twine is made from Chambira palm leaf fibers.

Weight limit on this hammock is 200 lbs. maximum.
