The little brother to the legendary Becker Patrol Pack! The Raider is slightly smaller than the Patrol coming in at about 36 liters (vs the approx. 42 liters of the Patrol Pack) and it incorporates two zippered pouches (approx. 1 liter each) on the front panel instead of two buckled pouches. These zippered pouches are stacked one above the other (vs. the side-by-side arrangement of the buckled pouches of the Patrol Pack). The Raider offers fantastic capability for a 2-day "assault" pack. The outside side pouches are the same as on the Patrol Pack but slightly smaller. (A Grayl GeoPress will still fit into the side pouches.) The pockets on the lid are the same as on the Patrol Pack. We eliminated the (orange) front pocket on the inside of the main compartment due to the main compartment's reduced size but the inside left, right, and back pockets remain the same. We rate the Raider as a solid 2-day to 3-day pack, but it can easily stretch beyond that. The Raider, like the Patrol, is AWESOME! Limited quantities available - green and red only at this time.
The Raider is made by our own fabulous crew in Colombia, S.A. - the same fine folks who are making the legendary Becker Patrol Packs. The Raider utilizes the same materials and hardware and is also built "jungle tough"!
The Raider weighs a bit less than the Patrol coming in right at 5.0 lbs / 2.27 Kg all-up. (Note that an issue medium ALICE pack with frame, waist belt, and shoulder straps weighs 6 lbs 2 oz on our calibrated scale.) The Raider’s capacity is right at 36 liters (vs the 42 liters of the Patrol Pack).

Has enough room to allow you to have fun, and NOT bring the kitchen sink.
I like the way it can stand up and not roll away down the hill, like the lg.alice pack will do, at night in the rain and mud.
This pack is perfect sized for patrol duty. The construction is a kin to a tank. The shoulder strap and waist belt assembly is truly comfortable on a level not felt with other packs. You can walk for miles in wooded terrain and not feel any discomfort or hot spots. The pocket setup and functionality is superior to anything else I've ever tried which includes filbe, Ilbe, molle 2, Karrimor SF, and Alice. This pack is the only one you will ever need or want once you've tried it. The perfect patrol sized pack.
I was able to comfortably carry 2 canteens with one cup, warm layer jacket, poncho, binoculars, radio and battery pack, 3 spare mags, headlamp, 3 MRE's, spare socks, shirt, and underpants. And of course map and admin. Loads of room left for more.
Quite some time ago, I purchased the "Becker Patrol Pack" and was VERY happy with the carry and comfort of the design. As I trimmed down the weight on my gear, I felt the Patrol Pack was too big for my needs.
I decided to down size to the "Becker Raider Pack" and what a great decision that was. The Raider is the MOST COMFORTABLE pack I have ever worn. The side pocket are spacious and close well to keep gear protected. I own several military style packs and by far the Raider and Patrol packs are the best I have.
I wanted a modernized ruck. I like the classic look and no nonsense functionality. Great yoke system.
I like the dedicated mag pouches, pocket pass throughs for Bushcraft tools or climbing poles.
The underated feature is the waist belt. I added pouches so that when removed it makes a nice waist pack for a day hike from camp as you can add a horizontal GP pouch/ small butt pack to the rear section.
The Raider is the perfect sized 2 to 3 day patrol pack for someone who likes to wear LBE Belt Kit. The packs waist belt does not interfere with your LBE.
After about 40 miles or so I feel that This is the best pack for me, perfect fit, very comfortable, very well built, all parts and pieces and stitching is high quality. Feels like this pack will last a long time. Great company to buy from was easy to purchase and shipping was quick " 2 days I think ". Thanks to all at Bongo Gear!
